Hi, I am Nandakumar Raghavan, welcome to my website

I was born and raised in a city named Thalassery, which is in the northern region of the state Kerala, commonly known as Malabar. Growing up in a village, the life around me was a visual treat of harvest festivals, flower festivals, temple festivals, folkdances, etc. What fascinated me the most was the performing arts called Theyyam, which is one of the most spellbinding ritual-based performing arts in the world

After graduation I went to the Middle East to start my career as an IT Professional. Even while living in the modern and glamorous city of Dubai, I missed the colorful celebrations and rituals I left behind in my home town. That’s when I realized that I had to freeze those beautiful moments, leading to the purchase of my first Canon EOS camera.

I truly believe in the power of visuals. It can transport people to a world beyond their everyday life. It connects with people in a way mere words cannot.

Through my travels I have explored the traditions of several beautiful places of historic and cultural significance including its wildlife, nature, the people and their beliefs and have incorporated them into my photography. Here, I present photographs of a few frozen moments from the amazing lands of India and the world. This is how I see the world through the eye of my camera. ..Welcome again.
